2021-W American Gold Eagle Proof Set (4 Coin) Type 2 PF70 Ultra-Cameo NGC Early Release

$7,295.00

Don’t miss your chance to purchase the “First Year Of Issue” newly designed Type 2 American Gold Eagle Proof Four-Coin Set. After three decades, the design has been updated, and this is your opportunity to start a brand new collection with the first coins featuring this new design minted at the West Point Mint.  These coins have been certified for authentication and condition by the Numismatic Grading Corporation (NGC).

The obverse design on each coin features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. For the 2021 coin, the United States Mint returned to its original historical assets in 2020 to render a closer reflection of Saint-Gaudens’ original vision and detail.

The newly designed reverse of each coin features a portrayal of an eagle. Inscriptions on each are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST,” along with the face value and size.

As with most coin types, first and last years of issues are generally key dates and owning the complete date run set of the most popular modern era gold coin is monumental.  Demand for these iconic sets is strong as illustrated by the mint selling out within 15 minutes of their release!

Price reflected is for payment via ACH or Bank Wire Transfer.  Add 3.5% for major credit card.

Description

For the first time in more than three decades, each coin in this gold proof four-coin set features a new reverse design, crafted in the highest degree of detail, with a stunning portrayal of an eagle.  Legacy details have been restored for the obverse design to include modifications to the Capitol Building, stars, torch, sun rays, and other design elements based on the original bronze cast. Among the new features is an anti-counterfeit reeded edge variation on the one ounce coin. Minted at the West Point Mint

The American Gold Eagle is an official gold bullion coin of the United States. Authorized under the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985, it was first released by the United States Mint in 1986. Offered in 1/10 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1 oz denominations, these coins are guaranteed by the U.S. government to contain the stated amount of actual gold weight in troy ounces. By law, the gold must come from sources in America, with an additional alloy of silver and copper to produce a more wear-resistant coin of .9167 (22 karat, which had long been the crown gold English standard for gold coins, and before 1834, for American gold coins as well). It is authorized by the United States Congress and is backed by the United States Mint for weight and content. Gold Eagles are among the most highly collected coins in the world.
