This backdated 1/10 oz $5 American Gold Eagle is a business-strike bullion coin issued by the United States Mint. Dates are our choice. The coin contains 0.1000 troy oz. of pure gold in a durable 22-karat alloy of 91.67% gold, 3% silver and balance copper.

Backdated BU coins may carry either the Type 1 family-of-eagles reverse used from 1986 through part of 2021 or the Type 2 eagle-head reverse introduced in 2021. Coins are sold as raw bullion and are not third-party certified unless specifically stated.
