Chinese Gold Pandas

Chinese Gold Panda coins have been issued by the People’s Republic of China since 1982 and are among the world’s most recognized sovereign gold bullion coins. Struck in .999 fine gold, Gold Pandas are notable for their annually changing panda designs and have been produced in multiple denominations and gold weights. From 1982 through 2015, Panda gold content was expressed primarily in troy ounces; beginning in 2016, China converted the series to metric gram weights.

Identification Note: Gold Panda denominations have changed over time. The year and denomination should both be used when determining actual gold content.
