With a mintage of only 82,000 pieces, the 1908-S is a favorite semi-key date in the Indian half eagle series. Examples of this issue are known in all grades from MS60 to MS68, but the majority of Mint State pieces fall in the MS62 to MS64 range. Gems are scarce, and finer pieces are rarely seen.
